Why entrepreneurship? Because I love to build. There’s something powerful about watching an idea take root and grow. This business isn’t just a creative outlet — it’s a vision I’m turning into a legacy, with hopes it becomes our family’s main source of income.
What I hope to learn: Through SMARTstart, I’m excited to dive deeper into business planning, financial strategy and learn from those who’ve walked this path before me. I’m here to grow — with purpose, intention and petals everywhere.

Why entrepreneurship? I hit a ceiling in my career and wanted more freedom, impact and time with my family. Tidal lets me build a business that supports my clients and my life.
What I hope to learn: Through SMARTstart, I’m focused on sharpening my sales skills, learning how to market my services confidently and building the systems needed to grow sustainably.

Auctions embody that same excitement, offering endless possibilities with every bid. Marketplace selling can be risky and unreliable, but DealFinder Auctions provides a secure and effortless way for sellers to turn items into cash while ensuring valuable goods find new homes. My mission is to create a streamlined, trustworthy auction experience that benefits both buyers and sellers, alike.
What I hope to learn: Through SMARTstart, I look forward to building relationships with industry experts and fellow entrepreneurs, expanding my reach and refining my marketing strategies to establish DealFinder Auctions as a go-to platform.

Why entrepreneurship? Realizing the profound connection between natural nutrition and overall well-being transformed my career path. Leaving the service industry after 20-plus years, I felt a strong calling to empower others to take control of their health through wholesome, nourishing foods. Witnessing people regain their confidence and vitality drives my commitment to this fulfilling journey every day.
What I hope to learn: Through SMARTstart, I hope to gain the knowledge to run my business with full confidence. I aim to learn about finances, budgeting, local networking, marketing strategies and how to create a clear picture of the future for my business.
Paul Tait
Why entrepreneurship? Since the age of 18, I’ve always wanted to open my own shop and do things my way. Life’s circumstances delayed this dream, but, in 2023, my career path changed and I finally incorporated my business in 2024 to serve Airdrie residents.
What I hope to learn: Through SMARTstart, I hope to gain the knowledge to run my business successfully, from financial management to marketing strategies. I aim to learn how to grow my business sustainably and support my family financially.
