Airdrie youth are invited to take part in a weekend full of free activities during National Youth Week. From May 1 to 7, the Airdrie YES Committee will be partnering with several other local organizations to celebrate youth and their involvement in their communities.
“This week-long celebration aims to highlight the importance of youth engagement and provide opportunities for young people to connect, learn and have fun,” says Jessica Dudek, youth engagement liaison with the City of Airdrie.
Airdrie YES Committee was created in 2019 as a community-driven project that consists of dedicated stakeholders from various youth-serving groups and organizations.
“We are celebrating our third year of National Youth Week,” says Dudek.
“We encourage youth to participate to build a connection to their community through fun youth-focused activities.”
