The Airdrie Festival of Lights is Airdrie‘s longest running festival in our city beginning in 1996 and continuing through to today. We remain Western Canada‘s largest outdoor walk-through light display, and from the beginning, we have never charged admission to enter, making this an affordable and family, friendly event for more than 30 years now.
Our organization relies on the generosity of sponsors, as well as our incredible Volunteer community, to help keep costs low. Any profits generated from this event are then redirected back into our local community through various donations to organizations, as well as through our unique fundraising program. Over the years, this event has grown and brought Airdrie to the forefront when it comes to affordable, family friendly events. Our community and our businesses continue to benefit from the exposure the AFOLS brings.
However, there are numerous and growing costs associated with events of this size. Having access to an advertising package at this value, would be a much needed breath of air to our operating budget. It would go a long way in ensuring our financial stability next season, while helping us spread the word that everyone is welcome to attend our event, regardless of their economic situation.
