Celebrate the arts on Saturdays at Inspire

Story by Stacie Gaetz

Fall 2025

The City of Airdrie will begin a six-week celebration of community connection with live performances in Inspire’s Atrium this November. Performances will take place Saturday afternoons from November 8 through December 13 and include concerts, circus and performing arts events.

“We’re excited to continue to celebrate Inspire’s opening with Airdrie residents and visitors this November and December,” says Clay Aragon, manager of Culture and Heritage.

“These Saturday afternoon performances are meant to invite Airdrie to the new facility and foster community connection around arts in Airdrie. We want people to feel a rush of creative energy when they visit and what better way to do that than to create an opportunity for people to come together while highlighting the breadth of the performing arts scene.”

The Art Celebration Saturdays schedule includes:

Pinocchio performed by the Alberta Musical Theatre Company

November 8 at 3:30 pm

Be whisked away to the scenic hills of sunny Italy, where magic and adventure collide in a lively musical adaptation of Carlo Collodi’s classic tale. Gepetto, a lonely  puppet maker, spends his days and nights working in his shop consumed by a simple wish – the company of a son. His dream is realized when his favourite puppet, Pinocchio, comes to life. Join Pinocchio as he embarks on a journey of outlandish characters and perilous danger.

Wonderland Dream performed by the Little Red Ball Circus Company

November 15 at 3:30 pm

Ever since her return from Wonderland, Alice has been haunted by a recurring dream. She’s falling again – gracefully tumbling through the rabbit hole – but this time, something feels…off. The silken walls are familiar but subtly changed. As she twists and turns in midair, she lands softly and is greeted by the enigmatic Cheshire Cat. But this isn’t the sly grin she remembers. This cat dazzles with hypnotic contortion and impossible feats of balance, beckoning Alice deeper into the dream.

6 Minutes Warning concert performance

November 22 at 3:30 pm

A cappella group with a vibrant blend of pop and R&B. Inspired by legends like Take 6, Boyz II Men and N’Sync – 6 Minutes Warning creates a sound that is unmistakably their own. Known for high-energy performances and magnetic stage presence, their shows are spontaneous, fun and full of surprises.

Flaysher

November 29 at 3:30 pm

A high-energy country-rock duo from Alberta, made up of brothers Brad and Ryan. With deep prairie roots and a sound that blends grit and heart, they’ve earned eight CMAB nominations and built a loyal local fan base.

Spatial Pull performed by Zero Miles Dance

December 6 at 3:30 pm

A site-specific dance-based piece derived from contemporary dance and Noguchi Taiso – a slow and fluid form of dance. Each dancer interprets the music using gravity and the connection with the space they are in dancing in.

Airdrie Choir Christmas Concert

December 13 at 3:30 pm

A non-auditioned choir comprised of members from Airdrie and surrounding communities.

The community can also attend live performances throughout the week, including Parent Social music nights and Teen Performance Nights.

Attendance to these events is free but seats are limited and advanced reservation is required. Reservations and more information about events and drop-in live performances at Inspire can be found at airdrie.ca.
