Put Your Stamp on Your Next Home

Story by Patricia Merrick

Fall 2025

You can personalize your next home and add your own finishing touches with Akash Homes, now building in one of Airdrie’s newest communities.

“Our models are designed to offer a great product with a beautiful canvas that allows you to adapt your lifestyle to whatever current trends are in vogue at the time,” says sales manager Jacq Lakusta. “You can evolve it and develop it to your own tastes and put your own spin and stamp on it.”

Key Ranch is located on the west side of the city and offers a variety of home styles, with construction set to kick off this fall on the second phase of the development. It will feature two duplex models, including one of the company’s top-selling models that includes an oversized front-attached single garage, three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a second-floor laundry room.

“We offer great value. Our upgrades all come standard in all of our homes, so nine-foot ceilings on your main floor, quartz countertops throughout, high-end luxury laminate flooring,” says Lakusta. “We like to offer those little samples of luxury in every product type that we offer. It’s just a great way to build in value for buyers.”

The second duplex model features a rear-detached double garage, a second-floor laundry closet, and a loft or bonus space.

“It gives great versatility depending on somebody’s lifestyle,” Lakusta says of the bonus space. “If they’ve got little kids and want a playroom, or if they want to use it as a work-from-home space — it (also) functions great as a den or even a little fitness area.

“(The models are) definitely geared towards those folks looking to get into the housing market as first-time buyers, or even for investors who are looking for properties that offer great value for rent.”

The new builds are slated for completion in the summer of 2026. The second phase of the development will also include laned homes and front-attached garage homes. Key Ranch also has several parks, a storm pond and a play area for kids that overlooks the pond.

“If you have an active lifestyle, it’s great to hike, bike, walk – take the kids for a stroll to nearby amenities,” says Lakusta. “It’s just a great family-friendly community. It’s also a great option for people who can’t afford Calgary, but are looking for that close proximity because they work in the city.”
