The Nose Creek Players have been bringing shows to Airdrie audiences for nearly 40 years, inspiring laughter and tears. The 2026-2027 season, From Page to Stage, includes an exciting lineup of stories that have captivated readers and now come to life on stage.
The season kicks off with an all-youth production of The Velveteen Rabbit, directed by Haley Day. This timeless tale about a beloved toy that longs to become real reminds us of the importance of being authentic and seeing our self-worth, and that connection overcomes imperfection. This production is part of the City of Airdrie’s Art Celebration Saturdays at Inspire and will be free to attendees. Registration is required; visit airdrie.ca/inspire for details.
Next, comes It’s a Wonderful Life from directors Chloe Jorgenson and Joey Moss. A beloved holiday classic that focuses on finding light in the darkness and reminds us to look for the things that really matter. Sometimes, the path we never planned to take leads us exactly where we’re meant to be.
Wrapping up the season is The Outsiders, directed by Mandi Fusaro and Taylor Burton, a coming-of-age story which has been shaping high schoolers for almost 60 years. A gang of teenagers overcome a tragedy to form friendships that will carry them through life, finding family in each other when they need it most, and reminding us that we are so much stronger than we sometimes think we are.
