Fall 2026

Contrary to popular opinion, fall can be one of the busiest seasons of the year. What should be a time to slow down, admire the changing leaves, and ease back into school and work after a chaotic but beautiful summer can quickly become a season where everything starts happening at once.

As a Reformer Pilates studio owner, movement is rooted in my day-to-day life. But even spending my days at the studio, it can be hard to build a healthy routine that feels attainable and sustainable. Here are a few simple things that help me create a routine that feels supportive, rather than overwhelming!

Plan your movement. I find that scheduling movement into my calendar makes it much easier to prioritize. Whether it’s a walk, group-fitness class, bike ride or at-home stretching, moving your body a few times a week can make a big difference in how you feel — physically and mentally.

Plan your meals. I like having a plan for the week, but I also enjoy choosing what to eat based on how I’m feeling that day.

I write out a few meal ideas and shop accordingly, giving myself the flexibility to switch things up if plans change. Having a plan doesn’t mean you can’t go with the flow!

Drink more water. Find a water bottle you love, keep it nearby, and make hydration part of your daily routine.

Read or journal for 10 minutes. Taking a few quiet minutes before bed or first thing in the morning helps calm my mind and create a little space in an otherwise busy day.

Finally, give yourself grace. Not every day or week will go perfectly, and that’s okay. Small, consistent habits add up.

Prioritizing your mental and physical well-being allows you to show up as the best version of yourself, for you and for everyone around you! You are worthy.
