1. Share one specific personal or professional accomplishment that you believe qualifies you to represent Airdrie residents on Airdrie City Council.

Rooted in Airdrie since birth, my journey through 11 years of military service and life across Canada led me back here—not just to return, but to invest in the future of the community I love. That decision wasn’t just about geography—it was about values. My time in service taught me discipline, communication, leadership, and a deep respect for community. Those experiences shaped my commitment to public service.

Returning to Airdrie to raise my two daughters with my incredible wife was a conscious choice—driven by belief: belief in this city, in its potential, and in the people who make it what it is. I understand Airdrie not just as a resident, but as someone who has seen it through the lens of both hometown pride and national perspective. That’s why I’m stepping forward—not just to represent, but to serve with purpose, lead with integrity, and listen deeply. I want to be your voice for the change you care about—so together, we can build a city we’re proud of, and where every resident has the opportunity to succeed.

2. What are your top three priorities and why?

Transparency and Accountability in Governance

Airdrie residents deserve a City Council that communicates clearly, listens actively, and makes decisions openly. I believe in leveraging modern, accessible technology—such as mobile-friendly platforms, live-streamed meetings, and interactive tools—to bridge the gap between council and community. Residents should be able to easily access information about what decisions are being made, how they’re being made, and why they matter. From voting on community projects to shaping public art installations, I want you to have a say in your community. When communication is strong and collaboration is genuine, it builds understanding and empowers meaningful support across the city.

Family Growth and Generational Support

Airdrie is home to families at every stage—from young children to teens, parents to grandparents. Planning for our city’s future means investing in infrastructure that supports all generations. That includes recreational spaces, transportation, and community services and supports that are in place before new housing developments are approved. Growth should never outpace support. By aligning development with infrastructure requirements, we can build a city that’s prepared for tomorrow while caring for every generation today.

Long-Term Business Development

A thriving local economy starts with empowering entrepreneurs and supporting small businesses. I want Airdrie to be a place where people can build and grow their businesses with confidence. That means thoughtful planning of commercial districts, streamlined processes for startups, and long-term strategies that attract investment while keeping money circulating locally. When we support small business owners, we’re not just boosting the economy—we’re creating jobs, strengthening community identity, and laying the foundation for sustainable growth. As someone who hopes to open a business here one day, I’m committed to making sure others have the opportunity to do the same.
