Story by Josie Randall

Winter 2024/25

Airdrie is brimming with holiday cheer, and nothing says festive quite like cozying up with a warm drink or sipping on a creative seasonal cocktail. This holiday season, local businesses are offering an array of special beverages to bring a little magic to your cup.

Here’s where to sip some of the best holiday-inspired drinks in town!

¡Glitch! Gaming Lounge

Looking for a twist on a classic holiday flavor? ¡Glitch! Gaming Lounge is serving up the “Yule Tide Nog,” an eggnog-based drink with vodka and coffee liqueur, perfect for a festive evening. For those skipping the alcohol, try “Frosty’s Holiday Sip,” the non-alcoholic version that’s just as delightful.

Over The Top Pop Shop

This local favorite has something for every holiday drink lover. Their festive menu includes eggnog coffees, hot chocolates, milkshakes, and even frozen hot chocolate slushies. Candy cane fans will adore their candy cane mocha, milkshake, twister, and hot chocolate. If you’re feeling creative, you can even craft your own custom holiday drink.

Jam’s Airdrie

Jam’s is getting into the holiday spirit with its very own house-made eggnog, available throughout December. Enjoy it as a latte, chilled over ice, or kick it up a notch by adding a splash of rum.

Sorso Lounge’s Tipsy Chimney

From November 25 to January 6, Sorso Lounge transforms into the Tipsy Chimney, a Christmas-themed pop-up restaurant. They’re offering 13 holiday-themed alcoholic drinks, including the Terry’s Chocolate Espresso Martini, Cotton-Candy Cane Cosmo, Gingerbread Russian and Hot Buttered Rum. Wine cocktail lovers will find plenty of holiday-themed drinks to enjoy here too.

Ground Press Coffee and Books

We hear this cozy café is crafting a winter drink menu that promises to warm your heart and soul. Keep an eye out for their seasonal creations that are sure to pair perfectly with a good book.
