Nominations for the 2024 Airdrie Regional Business Awards were open from June 3rd to July 29th and over 150 nominations were received. Nominees are independently adjudicated by a 3rd party to determine the finalists for each category. Winners will be announced at the Airdrie Regional Business Awards Gala on October 24th, 2024 at Bert Church LIVE Theatre.
“The Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce is excited to once again celebrate the incredible businesses and non-profit organizations in our community through ten distinct award categories. Every nominee is truly deserving, and we are extremely proud of each finalist, as they represent the heart of our business community. We are also thrilled to see several businesses from the Rocky View County region among the nominees this year. As our Chamber and region continue to grow, these awards reflect our commitment to recognizing and supporting the organizations we serve,” says Marilyne Aalhus, Executive Director of the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Hugh Hamilton Business Leader Award – This award is presented to an individual who has been operating a business for at least three years and has demonstrated exceptional leadership, business acumen, philanthropy, and commitment to the Airdrie regional business community. The Hugh Hamilton Business Leader Award will be pre-selected by a Business Leader Nomination Committee, nominations for this award category are not accepted by the community.
Business of the Year Award – Presented to a business that has been operating for at least 3 years, that best exhibits outstanding achievement in customer service, growth, and community involvement.

Community Attraction Award – Presented to a business that has been operating for at least two years and has major influence on attracting visitors and residents to engage in the community; making it a more attractive place to work, live, visit, and play.

Community Spirit Award – Presented to a non-profit that has been operating for at least two years and continuously serves and promotes Airdrie and region via specific programming, resources, assistance, and/or services they offer.

Emerging Business Award – Presented to a business that has been operating for less than 2 years, showing success and demonstrates a connection to the community.

Employer Excellence Award – Presented to a business that goes above and beyond for their employees and provides the best overall place to work. It places high levels of importance on corporate culture and a happy and healthy work environment for their staff.
