With 70 playgrounds, 140 kilometres of maintained pathway and 1,110 groomed parkland acres, Airdrie is a great place to hang out in the fresh air.
Art shows up in surprising places around Airdrie and makes a perfect selfie backdrop! Or play “I spy” with the kids with a drive and/or walk through town.
Airdrie has a wonderful entrepreneurial spirit and it shows in the unique shopping experiences from antiques to art and candy to yarn.
Founded in 1889, Airdrie has a rich history of settlers and railways. Starting out as a stop destination for the Calgary and Edmonton Railway Company train that delivered mail because of Nose Creek, soon buildings were built along the railway with workers living nearby to care for the train.
Picturesque courses welcome players of all skill levels
In any regular summer Airdrie would be bursting with life and colour all summer long from our Children’s Festival, Pride Day to Canada Day parade and fireworks, Airdrie Pro Rodeo, outdoor concerts, car shows and so much more.
