Mark your calendars for February 8th, 2025, as Airdrie prepares to celebrate the 8th annual Mayor’s Night of the Arts. The planning committee is excited to announce that nominations are now open for a variety of prestigious awards honoring local talent and contributions to the arts community.
This year, there are six award categories to recognize outstanding individuals and organizations:
- Patron of the Arts Award: Celebrating significant philanthropic contributions that enhance Airdrie’s arts community.
- Champion of the Arts Award: Honoring individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the arts through dedication, time, and expertise.
- Professional Artist Award: Recognizing highly regarded artists for their exceptional talent and contributions to the arts.
- Emerging Artist Award: Celebrating new voices in the arts community who have made a notable impact within five years of their involvement.
- Arts Educator Award: Honoring educators who have shown outstanding dedication and innovation in art education.
- Youth Artist Award: Celebrating young artists, aged 21 and under, who demonstrate exceptional talent and promise.

“This evening is such a fabulous showcase of local talent, celebrating our vibrant Arts & Culture Community in Airdrie,” said Tare Rennenbohm, committee chair. “Our artists inspire and connect us in extraordinary ways. We appreciate our local media for helping us raise awareness about the nomination process.”
In addition to the awards, local artists are invited to apply for the “Artist of the Awards 2025” designation. Interested artists can request more information by emailing info@airdriemayorsnightofthearts.com.
“We already have an exciting lineup of local talent ready to entertain and wow our audience on February 8th,” continued Rennenbohm. “We encourage everyone to submit their nominations by November 15th to ensure their picks are considered.”
