Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (NDTR). The day honours the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

Flags half-mast at City Hall
Time: 7 a.m. – 8:25 p.m.
The flags at all Government of Canada, Alberta and Airdrie facilities will be lowered to half-mast.
Elder Talk with John Sinclair
Time: 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
An opportunity to connect with stories, insights and perspectives on life, culture, and spirituality. The Elder Talk will take place at the Bert Church LIVE Theatre lobby.
New Blood – A Story of Reconciliation at Bert Church LIVE Theatre
Time: 4 – 5:30 p.m.
“New Blood – A Story of Reconciliation” in the Bert Church LIVE Theatre – this is a highly acclaimed theater production celebrating Blackfoot history and tradition from Siksika Musicians and dancers. This event is a fundraising opportunity for the CCFRS as proceeds from ticket sales will support of this amazing local not-for-profit group.
