1. Share one specific personal or professional accomplishment that you believe qualifies you to represent Airdrie residents on Airdrie City Council.

Four years ago, I ran for this very same seat on the platform, Destination Airdrie. My platform was built on a simple mission: to keep Airdronians, and their dollars, in their home city through smart infrastructure, sports and event tourism.

Since then, I’m proud to say I have delivered on the promises I made in my 2021 platform. Today, Ed Eggerer Athletic Park has a world-class turfed field that drives economic revenues for our small businesses, and is a safe gathering place for our youth. I have also co-founded two new successful community festivals that keep Airdronians connected and in our city. CultureFest is in the planning stages for its third year while Airdrie Homecoming celebrates its fourth annual festival.

When you give me a mandate, I will deliver; paired with my lived experiences of working directly with city staff and the current Council members, I believe I am well prepared to serve on City Council.

2. What are your top three priorities and why?

My 2025 platform is just some of the ways I hope to serve our city, but it rests on alleviating two key needs that Airdronians have: affordability and accessibility.

There are four pillars in my platform, but they build on each other to meet my final and most important priority: An Airdrie for Everyone.

My top three priorities are:

1) Build and ensure Airdrie’s smart, forward-thinking infrastructure includes private partnerships to reduce the cost of recovery on residents;

2) Require every city recommendation to include early consultation in its development. Whether it’s bylaws or policies, these should not happen without the early input of the people it will affect; and,

2) Bring back the community developer role to liaise between community groups and city staff, to ease the process for residents to get things done.
