The Airdrie & District Community Foundation (ADCF) connects caring individuals with the causes that matter most right here at home, now and forever. We are a registered charity creating a permanent legacy fund that supports a thriving and caring Airdrie & area.
A year of free advertising with AirdrieLife Magazine would give us the opportunity to amplify our message. So many residents want to help, to give back, or to make a difference—but don’t always know how or where to begin. Advertising would allow us to reach them with stories of hope, possibility, and impact, and to show that philanthropy is something everyone can participate in.
In the short 9 years that the ADCF board has been active and growing, we have grown our endowment fund to over 1.3 million dollars. We retain all funds donated and invest them conservatively; we give only the growth and interest yearly to local charities to fund important projects. We are proud to say we have been able to consistently increase our grants every year since 2017 when we gave out $5,000 to local charitable projects. In 2025 we crossed over the milestone of $1,000,000 in our permanent fund and we were able to grant $50,000! Our vision includes a fund greater than $5 million providing yearly grants of $200,000+ to local organizations doing very important work.
This opportunity for advertising in AirdrieLife magazine would help shine a light on the quiet, meaningful work happening across our community. Some examples of local charities that ADCF has supported in the past are Community Links, Airdrie Health Foundation, Airdrie Food Bank, Thumbs Up Foundation, Bethany Airdrie, Airdrie Public Library, BGC Airdrie Club, Meals on Wheels, Volunteer Airdrie, and many more. Cumulatively the ADCF has granted over $175,000 to over 20 unique local registered charities. The growth Airdrie has seen is unprecedented; with future growth will come challenges and our local charities are the ones that will be there to support our future population. And the ADCF is there to support them.
Winning this contest would strengthen our ability to support the charities and initiatives that rely on us. Increased awareness leads to stronger engagement – more donors, more partners, and more sustainable funding for programs that improve lives. The result is a ripple effect of impact that reaches far beyond any single advertisement.
The ADCF currently operates with a 100% volunteer board of directors, and we spend less than 2.5% of our annual revenue on minimal required administrative costs. This allows us to grant almost all of the investment growth yearly directly into community organizations, helping to tackle emerging needs. This aligns with our commitment to maximizing the impact of every gift entrusted to us.
We would use this advertising opportunity not simply to promote our Community Foundation, but to inspire connection, participation, and hope. Winning this contest would help us tell the story of this amazing Airdrie community—one where kindness leads, collaboration thrives, and our future is built together.
