The City of Airdrie’s Resident Satisfaction Survey gives citizens an opportunity to share their experiences, priorities, and ideas for improvement.
Until May 15, your input in an online survey directly informs city decisions, service planning and long-term priorities.
“Your answers help Airdrie continue to be a great place to live,” says Mayor Heather Spearman.
The Resident Satisfaction Survey gathers feedback from community members regarding municipal services and initiatives. Conducted annually, this survey helps the city to identify resident priority programs, services and concerns; assesses resident perception of and satisfaction with programs and services; and informs the strategic plans and continuous improvement efforts.
Specifically, feedback from the survey helps guide the city in:
- Overall quality of life in Airdrie
- Importance and satisfaction with services and facilities
- Satisfaction with city management and leadership
- Neighbourhood safety
- Value for property taxes
- Top priorities for Airdrie
“When you are filling out the survey, be deliberate about what you want to see changed,” says Spearman.
“Our job as the municipal government is to make sure the services we provide positively impact your life.”
Previously called the Citizen Satisfaction Survey, the rebranded Resident Satisfaction Survey results help city officials better understand the needs and perceptions of Airdrie residents.
Each year, a report is generated from the survey to evaluate how the government is performing in service delivery and identify possible areas for improvement. The final report summarizing the results of the survey will be presented to council in June or July.
“We use the results to inform our strategic planning and budget development for next year and beyond,” adds Spearman.
Between April 6 and May 1, randomly selected residents were interviewed by a phone call from Deloitte, the municipality’s research partner, to provide feedback over the phone. Airdrie residents can take part in a voluntary online survey until May 15.
