Experience Latin culture through heritage, music and authentic food at the second annual Latin Fest this summer.
Presented by the Latins in Airdrie Society, this year’s festival will feature fun for the whole family, including live music and traditional dance performances, local vendors and children’s activities.

Society President Lore Perez says Latin Fest’s goal is to foster genuine connection and diversity through sharing Latin culture with the community. “It’s a chance to experience the warmth, colour and energy of our Latin culture, right here in our city,” says Perez. “Airdrie is a growing and beautifully diverse city, and Latin Fest exists to celebrate that diversity.

“For our Latin community, it’s a moment to share our heritage, our music, our food, our traditions — with pride. If you’ve never experienced Latin culture up close, this is your chance. If you’re part of our Latin community, come and feel at home.”

The Latins in Airdrie Society consists of seven board members with roots from Mexico, Colombia, El Salvador and Peru. Perez, originally from Mexico, founded the society in 2024, and her husband and two sons help with board duties and organizing events.

“That spirit of family, service and belonging is the very foundation of Latins in Airdrie Society, and Latin Fest is its fullest expression,” says Perez. “Events like Latin Fest remind us that a strong community is built by embracing what makes each of us unique.”
