A unique melding between rider and animal totally in sync, connecting physically, mentally and even emotionally, is the draw to the art of the equine. For many equestrians, riding becomes more than a minor pastime but a therapeutic unification with the powerful beast.

For the past few years we have highlighted graduating students who want to pursue the arts in this annual arts issue. We decided to turn the focus back to the people that helped get them there – the passionate, creative teachers at our local high schools.

Warm weather is the perfect time to experience Airdrie’s downtown. Patios, new shops and ongoing investment have turned the area into an easy place to spend a few hours, meet friends or show off the city to visitors.
