At first glance, Airdrie’s Trevor Gordon appears to be an ordinary husband and father with a house and a yard, and he’s OK with that.

Solilo and her husband moved from Saskatchewan two years ago to be near family and, of course, her easel and brushes followed. Her paintings, in either acrylic or watercolour, erupt off the canvas in energetic brush strokes with splashes of brilliance and movement.

The fall issue of airdirelife is my favourite. We focus on the creative — in art, business, education, parenting. There are a lot of opinions on the word “creativity” out there. Here are a couple of my favourites.
