“You’re supporting a local ranching family that is involved in the local community.”
Nourishing your body with nutrient-rich, farm-fresh food just got easier, thanks to Your Local Ranch.
The business is run by a local ranching family who recently opened a storefront on Gateway Drive N.E. to make their products more accessible to residents in the area. The store carries a variety of meats, eggs, vegetables and more.
Garrett Fraser, co-owner of Your Local Ranch, says support from the Airdrie community has been incredible since the store opened in December 2025.

“We just want to thank the Airdrie community for wrapping arms around this business moving into the city. We are grateful for the support,” says Fraser. “It was very nerve-racking for us to enter a new phase of the business, and we didn’t know how it would be received.”
Fraser, along with his brother Brandon, parents Kevin and Joanne, and fiancé Holly Stockall, purchased Your Local Ranch from the Hanson family in June 2025. The Hansons ran the business for eight years on their family farm north of Airdrie, before selling it to the Fraser family.
All beef products now come from the Fraser family farm, JK Fraser Cattle, located west of Airdrie.
“You’re supporting a local ranching family that is involved in the local community,” says Garrett Fraser. “And it’s something you can have confidence in — knowing where your food is coming from. Our processing methods are very simple.”
The fourth-generation family-owned and operated ranch offers premium, naturally raised beef. The cattle are born and raised on the farm in low-stress environments, resulting in better quality beef. The meat is aged 21 days and has no added hormones.

Products like chicken, pork and eggs are sourced from other local farms. Your Local Ranch also supports small businesses by selling its products at the store, including Raven’s Nest Farm for year-round, hydroponically grown lettuce; Micro Acres for microgreens; and Township 27 Inc. for spices.
“Everything is very close, locally owned, and family run, so we want to keep true to that,” says Fraser, noting they only partner with businesses offering premium, quality products.
The store is open seven days a week and has everything from fresh to frozen meat, pre-cooked smoked turkeys during the holidays, and the option to purchase beef and pork in bulk. The family also runs a small store in Didsbury and one on the family farm.
“We do all our own jerky, all our own sausage in our Didsbury store — that’s where our butcher is — and everything gets shipped down to Airdrie,” says Fraser.
The chicken sold by Your Local Ranch is sourced from Bowden Farm Fresh Chicken and comes pre-packaged, while the pork comes from Mountainview Colony Meats in whole parts. Stockall says they smoke their own bacon and make their own porkchops.

She says they enjoy seeing their regular customers at the store and have gained many new customers, too.
“We’re just so humbled by the community support,” says Stockall. “We’re excited to continue to grow and see what else we can do.”
