The full-day event, free for all Airdrie and area residents, is being organized by the Airdrie Children’s Festival Society (ACFS), a new organization made up of local parents dedicated to enriching the lives of children and celebrating cultural differences.

Raising children is no easy job. It requires around-the-clock work and many, many hard days.

Airdrie artist Gareth Worrall loves wide-open Alberta landscapes; the mountains, the lakes and the wind-swept vistas, but that’s not really why he paints them. “It’s a big stress relief,” he says.
