Nominations are now open for the 2025 Awesome Airdrie Kids Awards!
What is it?
airdrielife are proud to present a recognition program to honour kids between the ages of 6 and 14 who are role models for their generation. Airdrie is home to hundreds of awesome kids from all walks of life who inspire family, friends and community members with their determination, spirit, compassion and leadership.

Who qualifies for the program?
Any Airdrie kid between 6 and 14 (on Dec 1, 2024). Must be a resident of Airdrie and district (school busing areas) for a minimum of one year.
Kids who have been previously nominated and accepted the award are not eligible again for a nomination.
What is the process?
Nominations will be accepted online only until September 15, 2024.
Nominations are reviewed by a special panel and those who meet the criteria are selected for recognition. All nominated kids receive a certificate in the mail.
The criteria: a child who is a role model to their peers. A child who inspires family, friends and community members with their determination, spirit, compassion and leadership. Please note parental nominations will require a second reference letter that is NOT a family member. We will contact you if this is the case.
The selected recipients are featured in a special airdrielife editorial in the winter issue (December 2024).
Each recipient receives a framed certificate, commemorative t-shirt and other surprises at a special family ceremony scheduled for Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Bert Church Theatre. Each recipient also receives a $50 donation in their name to the charity of their choice.
