Jaclyn Dorchak has lived in Airdrie since 2015 and owns a small real estate company. The local businesswoman says she has thought about running for council for years. “Airdrie is the place where opportunity and desire met,” she says.

Since moving to Airdrie in 2008, the mother of five has helped found and support a number of organizations dedicated to helping those struggling in the city.

Bianca Tyrell is creating a meaningful impact in the world of health care. At the age of 26, Tyrell is currently studying to become a registered nurse at Mount Royal University while advocating for decolonization when it comes to Indigenous health.
