At 17, Henry Murphy isn’t your typical high school student. While most teens are navigating Driver’s Ed or juggling homework with part-time jobs, this Croxford High School student is quietly redefining what’s possible, one bench press at a time.

Métis Elder Pamela Lashmore is unequivocal about the traditional Indigenous path to reconciliation and understanding after a pipe and teepee raising ceremony held at Airdrie City Hall March 21.

Since 1909, six generations of the Hanson family have raised cattle in Alberta. Today, Wayne Hanson and his family continue the business, branding their cattle with the same Bell L their ancestors did.
