Pivoting En Pointe

Local aviation enthusiasts have been meeting as a club for decades, but it wasn’t until the last year that the Airdrie Flying Club (AFC) became a formal society. The club has about 40 members of all ages who share a passion for flying.

The Airdrie and District Soccer Association (ADSA) is celebrating its 40th year of bringing the love of the world’s most popular sport to local youth. The ADSA is ringing in its fourth decade with a permanent home — a new fieldhouse on Gateway Road on the city’s north side.

Just a couple of kilometres north of where the blacktop ends on 24th Avenue northwest of Airdrie is a group of students getting back to their roots.
