It’s a municipal election year in Alberta and as the big day approaches for us here in Airdrie, there are a few things each voter must keep in mind before they head to the polls.
When the organizers of Airdrie’s inaugural Pride event in 2019 saw more than 2,000 people come to Nose Creek Park to stand in solidarity, they could have never imagined that it would be the only in-person celebration of gay rights for the next two years.
Airdrie is getting a new multi-use facility and library. Airdrie’s population growth and the downtown revitalization project contribute to the importance of adding a new facility where residents will gather, connect, grow and learn in the heart of our city.
