SUMMARY:Derek Seguin: Life of Leisure
DESCRIPTION:A community event presented by HubCap Promotions\nDoors open at 6:30 p.m.\nShow at 7:30 p.m. \nComedy super star Derek Seguin is touring Canada with his hysterical new show to celebrate his 20th year as a professional joke teller. Derek’s two-time Juno nominated stand-up is always a pure reflection of his dysfunctional life\, but naturally seen through his “slightly” twisted looking glass. This show will feature more of his hilarious stories on the challenges of relationships with his girlfriend\, his three nearly grown-up children and every-day life in a mixed-up world that he finds peculiar at best. With barely a moment to catch your breath between laughs there is never a dull moment in Derek’s shows and for 20 years audiences have loved him for it\, but he loves you more! \nOne of CBC’s The Debaters’ fan-favorites; people are often surprised at the raw nature of Derek’s stand-up… and how short he is. If you haven’t seen him live before; come out and discover the many hilarious surprises that his in-person shows are renowned for. No subject is off limits and no rabbit hole too deep. \nPlease be advised this performance contains frequent use of strong language and is intended for mature audiences. \nTicket Price: $49.51 – price includes applicable handling charges and GST\nPlease contact the Box Office at 403-948-8824 for wheelchair accessible seating.

SUMMARY:Amazing Airdrie Women Awards 2024
DESCRIPTION:We will be taking over the Bert Church Theatre on May 4 in a pretty amazing way with a full-on party! We moved to a Saturday night to give everyone a chance to make it a special night. When you arrive\, you can expect flowing complimentary prosecco (and mocktails)\, music to set the mood\, an amazing graze table\, our ever-popular paparazzi wall\, and new this year there will be a Glam Station to touch up your look for the big night! We’ve also got special gifts for attendees to take home. \nAmy Hef will grace our stage to perform. The Country Music Alberta Horizon Female Artist of the Year has Airdrie roots herself. \nA first for us this year is the presentation of an Honorary Amazing Airdrie Woman award. Late last year\, Leslie Horton\, anchor with Global Calgary\, went viral for her takedown of a rude and downright mean message she received from a viewer that attacked her appearance. Leslie’s reaction was honest and full of grace. Her reaction impressed me so much\, we reached out to her and\, much to our delight\, she accepted. We look forward to hearing from Leslie at our gala.
