Also: the Sponsors’ Silent Auction\, Donors’ Raffle\, a 50/50 draw\, door prizes & live entertainment; including event-long appearances of well-known princess & pirates who will interact with the kids. A light\, buffet-style meal is available during the entire gala. This event is a fundraiser for 2 local\, registered charities: Volunteer Airdrie and The Sober Friends Society.

DESCRIPTION:Come out for a Date Night\, and experience some Scottish Culture.  Watch Highland Dancers demonstrate their abilities around the sword or as they expressively demonstrate the emotions the Irish Washerwoman felt when her clean laundry was dumped on the ground.  Listen to the enchanting sounds of the pipes and small pipes.  Feel the crash of the drums.  Enjoy a Roast Beef dinner\, and try a taste of Haggis! \nThis event is Family Friendly;   This is a fundraising event to support the Airdrie Scots Pipes and Drums.  The event will be at the Airdrie Curling Club. \nExact schedule to be determined.  Rough schedule: \nPerformances start at 5:00\nDinner at 6:00\nEntertainment resumes around 7:00 \nExpected Performers include the Highland Dancers\, the Airdrie Scots Pipes and Drums\, as well as Canadian Step Dancers.  Entertainment will include the ASPD a second time as well as solo-ist pipers\, the Address to the Haggis\, and the Immortal Memory. \nIf you have any questions or concerns regarding tickets\, you may contact us at treasurer@airdriescots.ca. \nAs our supporters provide items\, we will add them into our shop to be bid upon on our online store at https://airdriescots.ca/shop/.  The online auction will convert to a silent auction onsite at the opening of the doors. \nThe Fraser Highland Shoppe will also have their entire store available at the event.  All proceeds from sales at the event will be donated to the band!  If you mention the 2023 Robbie Burns event while purchasing from them between now and Jan 27th\, they will donate half the net proceeds of the sale to the band.
